While perusing my neighborhood Sephora I stumbled on the Round A Kiss product in a sale bin ($8 to be exact) and thought I'd try it. The circular palette contains four different lip treatments in one useful container: The green exfoliator, the white moisturizer and two lip plumping colors.
The exfoliator, which is why I bought the palette to begin with, was absolutely useless. I attempted to apply it with the skimpy lip brush they included but to no avail. Instead, I applied with my finger and even then, the exfoliator didn't scruff my lips. The moisturizer is surprisingly good though; the color vanishes leaving your lips extremely hydrated and nourished. Lastly, the lip colors faded much too quickly and unfortunately, did not color nor plump my lips as I had first anticipated. All in all, I am NOT a fan of this and though it was only $8 I still feel I wasted my money; I don't recommend this product to anyone, whatsoever. That being said, here are a couple of home-made exfoliant recipes that I am completely in love with.
1. Mix white sugar with some olive oil. Massage on lips and, once rubbed in, wash off with a warm cloth. Your lips will be extremely soft!! Ensure you put some Vaseline on afterwards to nourish your new non-flaky lips!
2. Take an extra soft toothbrush, rub some Vaseline on the bristles and go to town (gently) on your lips. Again, wash off with a cloth and apply the Vaseline afterwards.
Do you have a great lip exfoliant recipe??? I'd love to hear about it!
I was wondering why you'd want green lipstick... Thanks for the tips!!
