Tell me a bit about yourself?
Well, my name is Christina Wolthers, I'm 29 years old and live in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I LOVE beauty products, purses, scarves, red lipstick, pasta, snowmen, Audrey Hepburn, Allan (the best fiance EVER) and anything to do with zombies. I dislike the rain, cauliflower, being wrong, surprises, and exercise (though it's something I've been doing a lot of lately.)
When did you start blogging and how did you get into it?
I have been blogging for just over a year now and got into it because one of my best friends FORCED me. Well, not literally, but I was always giving out beauty advice to friends, family, co-workers (everyone actually) and she said I should blog to share my knowledge with others. Thanks Bronwen!!
What made your passion for beauty products grow?
I blame my dancing AND having a mom who's a cosmetician. Because of dance (which I did for over 17 years) I started dabbling with make-up at the age of three. When on stage, I would wear tons of blue eyeshadow and red lipstick (YAY for the 80's) and would always try and wear it to school afterwards. I would also steal my mom's products and give "make overs" to my friends. From then on, I was completely smitten with make-up, cosmetics and all things beauty related.
What are your favorite skin care products?
Though I review, test and try many different products, my HG skin care products are DHC's Cleansing Oil, Nivea Gentle Toner, Eucerin Sensitive Skin Facial Moisture Lotion and St. Ives Invigorating Apricot Scrub.
What is the one beauty product you can't live without?
Red lipstick or gloss. My HG lipstick at this moment is Avon's Color Rich Lipstick in Berry, Berry Nice and Clinique's Glosswear in Juicy Apple.
Do you ever do make-up swaps?
YES!!! Absolutely. However, about 6 or 7 months ago I did a swap with my fabulous blogger friend from the UK and we have both still not received our packages. (It's terrible I know but we have no idea what to do about it.) Either way, swaps are a great way to experience new products and lines.
How can I get you to follow or read my blog?
Send me an email (email@example.com), write me a facebook message OR even send me a tweet. I will typically delete blog comments that say "Check out my blog...etc". Having said that, I do check out all people's blogs that leave comments on mine as well as the people that follow me.
How do you get your stuff for giveaways?
I buy everything myself for giveaways UNLESS I have mentioned within the post.
Do you receive free products? If so, how do you review them?
Who doesn't like free stuff right? I am very picky about the items I receive and only accept products that are directly related to my blog. All of my reviews are written by me and represent exactly what I feel about the product. Whether or not I receive the product for free OR purchased it myself, the review will always be honest.
