FOTD: Bold Blue Eyeliner

I am so in love with Sephora's Colorful Shadow & Liner pencils.   Not only are the colors fantastic, but the price is perfect ($18 CAD) and they last all day with one application.

The color I am wearing here is called My Boyfriend's Jeans and it's an electric blue that I feel makes my eyes POP.

The Bold Look of Floral

A long time ago, back when I was in high school, I thought floral prints were passe.  Truly, my mom would try to make me wear them and I would run out of the house screaming because, according to me, floral prints were not cool.

However, now that I'm in my 30's, I realize how amazing floral prints really are.  And not only floral prints but anything containing a flower is also cool.  I am loving the look of floral scarves, heels and even floral purses.

Guess my mom was right, all those years ago.

BH Cosmetics: Huge Palette Haul

I've heard of BH Cosmetics for a long time though never actually tried the line before.  I know, strange.  A friend and I decided to place an order and FINALLY give the line a try.

I, of course, ended up with 4 new palettes and some lipstick because that's how I role.

I purchased the Special Occasion Palette, the Glamorous Blush Palette, the Forever Smokey Palette, the Forever Nude Palette and Creme Luxe Lipsticks in Coral Escape, Berry Bite and Te Amo.

The Special Occasion Palette contains 39 colors in divided between blush (9 colors) and eyeshadows (30 colors).  All are absolutely lovely.

The Glamorous Blush Palette is the reason I placed the order though.  It contains 10 fabulous colors that can all be blended together to make your perfect shades.  Love it.

The Forever Smokey and Forever Nude palettes were on "Buy 1 Get 1 Free", hence why I got both.  Here's the Forever Smokey Palette which contains 2 blushes, 2 lip glosse,s 1 highlighter and 6 eyeshadows.

The Forever Nude contains the same amount as the Forever Smokey Palette, just in more muted shades.

Last but not least, check out the lipstick colors,  They are beautiful and rich.  I've been rocking the Coral Escape almost everyday since receiving them!  From left to right the colors are Coral Escape, Berry Bite and Te Amo.

Yesterday Was National Lipstick Day: What Are Your Favorite Colors?

Unbeknownst to me, yesterday was National Lipstick Day.  I know, how could I NOT have known this, you ask?  I agree and am still kicking myself.  It's now been marked in my calendar for all future Lipstick Days to come.

Lipstick is my favorite beauty product, by far.  I love it so much because it can totally change your entire appearance, with one little coat.  It's the one beauty product you can wear, with nothing else on your face, that can make you look glamorous, put-together and chic.  And, depending your mood, you can choose a color to match how you're feeling.

If you're feeling sexy, there is nothing better than wearing RED.  My all-time favorite red is L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche Lipcolour in British Red.

If you're feeling bold, there is nothing better than wearing a BERRY.  My favorite berry lipstick is BH Cosmetics Creme Luxe Lipstick in Berry Bite.

Summer makes me feel happy and my go to color is ORANGE.  My all-time favorite orange lipstick is Avon Ultra Color Rich Lipstick in Poppy Love.

If you're feeling playful, you can't go wrong with a FUCHSIA.  My favorite fuchsia lipstick is Joe Fresh Matte Lipstick in Fuchsia.

I am mad about pink right now!  Since having Benjamin, my entire makeup routine has had to change as I have virtually no time to make myself "up".  Instead, I've been trying to find ways to keep the routine quick, simple and look polished without having to touch up during the day.  My go-to colors?? Pink!  Not only do they look beautifully subtle but they look great even if you're tanned.

Clinique's Cult Favorite: Black Honey

Sometimes a cosmetic line creates a product that is so popular, and has been around for so long, that it makes "cult" status.  That's exactly what happened to the color Black Honey by Clinique.

For those that have never heard of it, first run out and by the Almost Lipstick in Black Honey as soon as you can.  Black Honey is one of those colors that looks FAB on absolutely everyone that wears it.  It's also sheer enough to pair with any type of eye makeup and also makes you feel very old school glamorous without trying too hard.

In addition to me repurchasing this amazing shade, I also got the matching shadow palette called A Black Honey Affair, which features the majority of the colors that match the lip shade perfectly.

Check out these colors!  From left to right, the palette contains Sugar Cane, Hazy, Black Honey, Lucky Penny, Untitled Color, Purple Pumps, Lavender Out Loud and Graphite.

The palette is gorgeous but the lip shade is out of this world.  Super classy, nice and light but colored enough to feel like you have something on your lips.  I love it!

Our Maternity Photo Shoot

I was really hesitant to have some maternity pictures taken and what's funny is I am not too sure why. I realized about 34 weeks in that I had hardly any pictures of myself pregnant and then slowly started to think about how much I was going to regret this one day.

So, I called up my friend/photographer and she fit us in for an emergency session.
