Lashem: The Ultimate Beauty Essentials for the Eyes

I received an email about a week and a half ago from the company Lashem asking me if I'd be interested in reviewing a couple of their products.  So, after a really quick YES email back from me, I received a box delivered to my work address this afternoon.  I tore open the box and was surprised to see not one, not two but four full-size products calling my name.  Needless to say I was like a little girl at Christmas...tearing things open, smelling the products etc.

So, after careful consideration, I've dcided to to start with the Lashem Measurable Difference Lash Gel.  Anything that promotes "healthier, longer and fuller lashes" is definitely A-OK in my books.  But the question of the day is will it work?

About a year ago, I reviewed RapidLash Eyelash Enhancing Serum and had great results.  However, I'm back to where I was before using the serum (brittle lashes, missing a few, etc) so I'm eager to see if the results are going to be the same or better with Lashem.  Either way, I'll keep you posted over the next month as to my results..

Here are my lashes before I start with the product tonight....Wish me luck ladies

Definitely Diggin Rimmel's Mascara

It's official. I'm completely biased.

The fact that Rimmel London has signed on Zooey Deschanel as their "new face" is making me want to purchase Rimmel a bit more frequently. She is literally my female actress crush! Oh, and plus she's married to the lead singer of one of my all-time favorite bands SO you can see why this bias thing is occurring.

On one of my shopping endeavors, about a month ago, I picked up Rimmel London's NEW Lash Accelerator Mascara but never thought to try it until after I'd completed the RapidLash. Reason being was this mascara is also designed to stimulate and promote natural lash growth. The product's advertisements say that "overtime, the unique Grow-Lash Complex
strengthens, nourishes and renews lashes to promote natural lash growth for up to 117% longer looking lashes after 30 days".

I have been using the product for about a week now and am genuinely impressed. Not because my lashes are so long they touch my forehead BUT because the mascara is quite good. It goes on smooth, dark and definitely does extend lashes to make the appear full and long. My one comment is you have to "double-dip". (I despise a mascara wand that doesn't fully coat one eye. You have to dip the wand in to coat the upper lashes and then dip again to coat the bottom.....yes, I'm EXTREMELY nit-picky.)

Because it's only been a week, I'm not noticing a change, whatsoever, to my lash length. Now, having said this, I just completed the RapidLash Serum and because of this I honestly think another lash growth product won't work for me at this time. I still love the product though because for under $10 you can have a product that actually works.

NOTE: If someone has tried it for the full month, I'd love to hear your thoughts!!

Re-growth: The Beginning

So, Saturday night began my month-long relationship with Rapid Lash, the "eyelash enhancing serum."

I purchased the product at Shoppers Drug Mart after weeks of meticulously googling re-growth options. I chose this one because it's available in Canada (hahahaha, seriously) and it was ONLY $50. (Yes, I know, it's a lot of money but if this really does work it's so worth it.)

According to Shoppers, I have 30 days to try this product and if for any reason I have an allergic reaction or, god forbid, my eyelashes fall out, they will gladly give me my money back. (If either of these things actually happen, I'm suing....I swear....)

Use: The product can only be applied once a day, at night, and you can not have any make-up on whatsoever. Once your face is clean, you apply a thin layer to the upper lash line using the very fine brush and that's it. So far, I've used it twice and nothing has happened.....patience is not my strong suit.

I will be continuing this every night and let you know of anything crazy. Also, I am going to be posting my before picture as well as an after.....anyway, here goes nothing!

Eyelash Re-Growth or Extensions? Problem Solved

So, after some serious consideration, and a lot of research, I've decided to try the re-growth option. Thanks everyone for your advice and thoughts as it was greatly appreciated!!!

Here's why...

1. There are so many re-growth serums out there and hardly ANY good reviews. I'm definitely going to change that.
2. How cool would it be to be able to tell people that you re-grew your own eyelashes?
3. If it doesn't work, I can still go out and get the extensions and review that too.

So, I will be starting the re-growth thing this weekend. Stay tuned my friends....

Eyelash Re-Growth or Extensions? HELP

I am a sucker for new, fun, and pretty things as I'm sure every girl is.

Now I know that Eyelash Extensions aren't a brand-new thing but they are new to me. I used to work with a girl that got them done once a month and, to be honest, she had extremely large doll eyelashes. Soooooo, having said that, I would never want to be as doe-eyed as her BUT I am still
considering having it done. I mean, how bad can it be right??? Never having to wear, or buy, mascara again is definitely a HUGE benefit....

On the other hand, I'm also thinking that it might be better to try the re-growth option. You know, the product that "guarantees amazing results within four weeks or your money back." Long story short instead of having someone else apply extensions to your existing lashes, you could just grow your own set by applying a Miracle Gro of sorts to your lash line........hmmmmm

I would actually love to hear from you. I'm open to trying any option BUT if I get the extensions, I will need to continue to go back and get them filled whereas with the lash re-growth I only have to use the product for six weeks.....Let me know what you ladies think since I am definitely needing someone else to make this tough decision for me.......
