The Quirky and Cool Zoe Kazan

Typically, I am not a big follower of celebrities.

I will occasionally glance at a fashion mag here and there or watch the odd award show if I remember it's on. I love the fashion and all but really feel that everyone deserves their privacy. For me to post about a celebrity means I have to really like them.   And I am LOVING Zoe Kazan...

She is talented, quirky and can pen a script like no one's business.  Plus, she has been with her boyfriend, Paul Dano, for about 8 years.  Just awesome.

The Talented and Gorgeous Lily Collins

Sometimes, I adore specific celebrities for their style or their hairstyles. Other times I love them for their talent, their cause or their message.  This time, though, I adore Lily Collins for her entire presence.  Seriously, she is an extremely talented actress and has the most fabulous eyebrows.

I first saw Lily Collins in The Blind Side but it wasn't until Mirror Mirror that I actually took notice.  She is so young and I couldn't get over how much she resembles Audrey Hepburn, my idol.  Have you noticed the resemblance?

I am really looking forward to her playing Clary in the Mortal Instruments movies and have heard talk about her "potentially" playing Anastasia Steele in the Fifty Shades of Grey movies....Hmmmmm.

Whatever the outcome is, she is definitely someone to keep your eye on.  Wouldn't you agree?

 

The Mod and Fabulous Carey Mulligan

Because I had, and rocked, short hair for so long, I feel as if Im kindred spirits with any and all women who also choose to chop their locks. In particular, Carey Mulligan.

She is a fabulous actor, married to the lead singer of a fantastic band (Mumford & Sons), lives in England AND has the cutest style of anyone I've ever seen

Her acting is extrodinary and she has this easy-breezy style that's fun and mod all at the same time.  If you've never seen An Education or Never Let Me Go, I highly recommend watching them.  She is flawless in both films.

The Beautiful, and Intelligent, Miranda Kerr

Did you guys know that Miranda Kerr studied nutrition and health psychology before becoming a model?  I know, who knew right?  She is not only completely gorgeous in a-not-in-your-face kind of way but she also has the brains to back it up.  To me, this is someone that empowers beauty.  Plus, she actually SMILES when she's doing runway!!!  YAY

It's nice to see a model that encompasses beauty on so many different levels.

The Gorgeous, and Pregnant, Hilary Duff

There is something so interesting about Hilary Duff.  I should probably begin with saying that I've adored this girl ever since Lizzie McGuire.  (Yes, I used to watch that show.)  She has such a bubbly personality, fantastic style and again, hair to DIE for.  Yes, her acting may not be that great nor her singing voice be absolutely perfect but she just has that star quality.  Plus, she's PREGNANT!!!

Look at her all pregnant and adorable!  I love that she is still wearing body hugging clothing AND rockin' the high heels.  Congrats to Hilary and Mike!  Can't wait to see pics of the baby boy...

Katy Perry: My Secret Style Inspiration

I don't typically like pop music.  I know, I know can you believe it?  I am usually the first one out trying to find new indie bands that no one's ever heard of before OR listening to music that, as Allan puts it, has too much feeling-talk.  So I guess it's kind of funny that I like both Katy Perry and her music.  Aside from her peppy songs, over-the-top confidence and beautiful husband, I have to say that she has some of the most creative videos I've seen in a long time.  So, here are some pics that display exactly why I like her...

Isn't she a doll?  I should also say that I've had a huge crush on Russell Brand since "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" but the boy does NOT take a good picture.....ever.  Oh well, he's still adorable.

PS - I'm also thinking I like her a heap because she has my favorite hair style....ever.  It's the banged/long bob......One day, I'll have this, one day!

The Fabulous Zooey Deschanel

So, I'm sitting here writing this post at 8:28 pm and I can't stop thinking about how crappy my day was today.  So, instead of writing a normal beauty post, I thought I'd share with you one of my style icons: Zooey Deschanel.  She, honestly, ranks very high on my list of favorite celebrities (right along side of Natalie Portman and Audrey Hepburn).  I like her because she's talented (she's an actress, singer and a songwriter), down-to-earth, gorgeous without even trying AND is married to the lead singer of, perhaps, one of my favorite bands, Death Cab for Cutie.  

This is my favorite look.  It's that modern I-just-rolled-out-of-bed look and it suits her perfectly.

She looks so awesome in this picture.  I am really liking the top.

In case you didn't know, Zooey fronts the band She & Him (along with M. Ward).  If you haven't done so already, go to Google and search for her band.  They are extremely talented and have a very laid-back vibe.  Trust me, you'll love them!!

OH...I almost forgot, Zooey is also a Rimmel London ambassador.  In fact, she is the spokesperson for one of my favorite drug store mascaras: Rimmel London Lash Accelerator Mascara.  See, how awesome she is!!!
