NOTD: It's A Coral Glitter-Fest!

I have a secret to tell you all. I'm having an affair....with glitter!

I don't quite know when this affair began but all of a sudden I've began buying glitter nail polish like they're going out of style. Pinks, turquoise, yellow, multi-color...it doesn't matter the color because I love them all.

The only issue I have with glitter is the amount of time it takes to remove from your nails. Aside from that, a coat of glitter turns even the worst polish job into something fabulous.

On my nails I applied one coat of Sally Hansen Hard as Nails XtremeWear Nail Color in Coral Reef (#405) and then one coat of Essie Multi Dimension Top Coat in A Cut Above. I love the chunkiness of the glitter pieces and of the light coral poking out through it.

Sigh, I adore glitter.

  1. Cool combo. Have you tried using the Essie as a full mani? Is it build-able enough for it?

    1. Hi Dina...yes, this polish can definitely be layered to wear alone. In fact, I was wearing it alone (three coats) on my toes for a good week and a half and i loved it!

  8. Just in case you haven't heard of it, the "Foil Method" works great for removing glitter nail polish. It's a little complicated, but I find it to be MUCH less annoying than fighting with the glitter.
You need: as many cotton balls as you have fingers, the same amount of foil cut into squares, and preferably acetone nail polish remover. Soak the cotton balls in acetone and place them on top of your nails. Wrap in the foil to keep the acetone from evaporating too quickly. Let the cotton balls sit for 5-10 minutes (it depends on how much glitter you've used) and then swipe off the cotton ball foil contraption. TADA! The glitter should come right off no problem. :D
