DIY Beauty Fridays: Homemade Anti-Aging Nourishing Mask

I'm 29, if I haven't mentioned that before, and began an anti-aging skin care routine when I was about 22.  (Thanks Mom!!!)  My mom always said that "it's never too early to begin an anti-aging routine.  This way you can banish them before they even creep up."  Extremely wise words, if you ask me.

My typical evening regimen consists of a cleanser, scrub (only every second evening), toner, serum, anti-aging night cream and an eye gel.  (Whew, it makes me tired just typing it.)  The biggest issue with having a skin care system that's this extensive is the cost.  Let's be honest, anti-aging products are very expensive.  So, when I stumbled across this homemade anti-aging facial mask about a year ago, I literally jumped for joy.  Not only is it super easy BUT the mask nourishes your skin, tightens your pores and will remove all the dead skin cells and will leave your skin super fresh and much tighter looking.

Anti-Aging Cucumber and Avocado Mask

1/2 cup coarsely chopped peeled cucumber
1/2 cup coarsely chopped peeled avocado
1 egg white
2 Tsp. powdered milk

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend till smooth.  Once done, place in a container and refrigerate for 30 minutes.  Once cooled, apply to neck and face and leave on for 30 minutes.  Then, rinse off first with warm water (to open pores) and then cool water (to close pores).

Your skin will absolutely glow from this treatment.  Not only that but your skin will actually feel younger.  I don't know how to explain it but trust me, you have to try it.  If you do, let me know what you think!!

Happy Friday and for all you Canadians, happy long weekend!

XO
